It is informed that the Twitter Account of Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History (SACON) has been created with the following details:

The main purpose of the account is to promote SACON’s activities and research. Faculty members are requested to instruct their researchers/interns/M.Sc. Students share relevant content from their respective fields of research. All the Divisions should be able to provide at least one Twitter feed every week. Twitter feeds may include the following:

1. Good quality photographs (birds and other taxa; field sites; any important observations) with a few sentences describing the photograph.
2. Videos (birds and other taxa; field sites; any important observations)  up to 512MB, and/or less than 2 minutes and 20 seconds in length with few sentences of description.
3. Interesting recent publications (Scientific/popular) preferably related to ornithological studies. (Information related to other taxa can also be submitted).
4. Original publications and articles  preferably related to ornithological studies. (Information related to other taxa can also be submitted)
5. Surprising facts.
6. Twitter Polls and Questions related to ornithology.
7. Retweet suggestions.
8. Any other Tweet suggestions.
