The `Help Line’ for the conservation of birds in India has been created to fulfil the wishes of Late Shri Anil Madhav Dave, Hon’ble Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. During the Annual General Meeting of SACON Society held on 16th May 2017 at MoEFCC, New Delhi, just two days prior to his demise, the Hon’ble Minister while appreciating the achievements of SACON towards conservation of birds in India and the nature education activities for school children since past two and half decades, suggested that SACON should develop modalities to reach out to the general public to address their common queries pertaining to bird conservation issues in the country. Consequently, the interactive `help line link’ on our website is created in memory of Late Shri Anil Madhav Dave for the benefit of common people of India who care for birds and their habitats.
